4th of July Fireworks in Hawaii – 2015

The 4th of July is just days away. And if questions on the phone are any indication, many of our guests are just now planning where to go and what to do in Hawai’i.   Here’s a list of the many public locations where you can sit back, relax and enjoy the 4th of July!

Hawaii Big Island

HILO – Hilo Bay Blast –   Family activities around the Hilo Bayfront, including games, cook-offs, music, dancing, and more. Hawai`i County Band concert at Mo`oheau Bandstand at 7pm, followed by fireworks at 8pm over Hilo Bay. For more info, call 808-961-8706.

KAILUA-KONA – Independence Day Parade & Fireworks –  The 20th Annual Kailua-Kona Independence Day Parade will take place on Saturday, July 4, at 6 pm, starting at the Kekuaokalani Gym/Pool Complex on Kuakini Highway. Following the parade, at 8pm, there will be a grand Fireworks Extravaganza over Kailua Bay. For more information, visit paradesinkona.com or call 808-313-0025.

WAIKOLOA BEACH RESORT – Family Fourth & Fireworks Extravaganza –  After a fun filled day of music, rubber ducky races, and food at the Kings’ Shops at the Waikoloa Beach Resort, the fireworks extravaganza will be held over Waikoloa Bowl at 8pm. Kauai

LIHUE – Kaua`i Hospice 26th Annual Concert in the Sky –The 24th annual Concert in the Sky will be held by Kauai Hospice at the Vidinha Stadium in Lihue.  Fun filled family events will run from 4-9:30 with the fireworks display taking place a 8:30pm. Visit Lihue – 4th of July

KEKAHA – Kekaha Fourth of July Celebration Event – Celebrate 4th of July “Kekaha Style” with Ohana, food booths, and games from 4-9:30.  A spectacular “OMG” fireworks  in the evening will be accompanied by live music to honor our Hawaii Military men and women. Lanai

LANAI – Lanai Pineapple Festival & July 4th Fireworks – The annual Lanai Pineapple Festival will be held July 3rd and 4th featuring crafts, food, games and a live performance by Willie K. Fireworks will top off the event at Dole Park at 9pm.  Expeditions Ferry will be running at special 10 pm trip back to Lahaina, Maui. Visit Lanai – 4th of July

LAHAINA – Front Street Fourth of July Celebration and Fireworks  –  From 2-9pm, enjoy great fun, food, shopping, keiki activities, entertainment and more, followed by a spectacular sunset and a fireworks celebration at 8 pm.  Synchronized music will accompany the fireworks near the Hard Rock Cafe on Front Street. This is Maui’s only public fireworks display. Toll free event hotline 1-888-310-1117 or visit Lahaina, Maui – 4th of July

Oahu

ALA MOANA – 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular – The Ala Moana Center will be hosting the 24th annual 4th of July extravaganza at 8:30pm.  Families are encouraged to watch the show from the Ala Moana Beach Park. Visit Ala Moana – 4th of July 

KAILUA BAY- Kailua Fireworks & Air Show – The 14th Annual  4th of July festivities will start off at 6pm with an acrobatic airshow by Clint Churchill & Hank Bruckner culminating with an aerial fireworks display at 8 pm.  Visit Kailua Bay – 4th of July

TURTLE BAY RESORT – #FabledFourth of JULY – The Turtle Bay Resort will be serving up festive drinks, dishes and entertainment. The excitement includes a weekend long  extravaganza featuring amazing food trucks, prime fireworks viewing areas at 8pm by the pool and our live musical line-up. Please remember, on some islands personal fireworks are prohibited at all beaches, parks, harbors, and on roadways.  On all islands permits are required to ignite aerial fireworks.
