Things to bring with you on Kai Kanani
You’ve booked your ticket. Now it’s time to amp up the excitement and gather up everything you need.
Remember your sunscreen!
The sun is quite intense at this latitude, even on cloudy days! Apply sunscreen at least 15 minutes before you enter the water to let it soak in. Reapply after drying off. Remember to use a rub on, reef safe sunscreen that does not contain Oxybenzone. Also, try to stay away from the spray sunscreens which tend to leave streaks and make a mess on the boat and in the water.
While the air is usually warm with a nice breeze to air dry, most people like to dry off with a towel. Bring two, if you so desire – one for drying and the other for kicking back.
We guarantee there will be something that you will want to photograph while on one of our tours – whether it be fish, turtles, whales or yourselves and the beautiful scenery. If you have a choice between a regular or a waterproof camera we highly suggest bringing along the one that is waterproof.
Sometimes the breeze can have a bit of a bite, especially when you are wet. A light cover up can act both as sun protection and to keep the chill off right after you get out of the water.
A rash guard or wetsuit top
While in the refreshing waters around Maui the water cools you just enough that you might not realize you are getting sunburned. A swim shirt (rash guard or wet suit top) will protect you from a pink back later in the day.
Keep your hair out of your face while sailing and snorkeling with a hat or hair tie. A hat will also help your cheeks from getting too rosy from the sun.
Seriously. Your smile makes our day. We are ready to show you a fabulous. Come ready to have a great time!
