Kai Kanani Receives Non-Profit Angel Award

Roger Gildersleeve & Kai Kanani Sailing Charters were recently recognized by the Mayor of Maui with this year’s Non-Profit Angel Award for their generous donations and support of the Hawaii Wildlife Fund, Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary, Ahihi-Kinau Natural Area Reserve and for their participation in marine debris recovery at Kaho`olawe.

Maui Reef Fund
Kai Kanani is one of the founding members of the Maui Reef Fund, a consortium of conservation organizations and marine tour operators created in 2004 to provide sustainable conservation financing to protect Maui’s reefs. Click here to learn more about the Maui Reef Fund.
Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary
Kai Kanani supports and works closely with the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary to educate the public during the winter whale season by having Marine Naturalists from this organization on every whale watch tour.
Hawaii Wildlife Fund
Kai Kanani supports the Hawaii Wildlife Fund education programs and endangered Hawksbill Turtle Research.
