Mai Poina Beach Park

Mai Poina Beach Park is a public park in Maui, Hawaii. It is a popular place for residents and visitors to go for a leisurely morning walk and watch the sun come up. Even though it is beautiful, it is commonly overlooked by people visiting the Hawaiian Islands. It is significantly less crowded than many of the other beaches in South Kihei, which makes it a great place to escape the crowds.

Mai Poina Beach Park is a great place for those looking to stay in shape. During the summer months, there are lots of people who enjoy taking a morning jog. Some people will even bring a soccer ball or a football to play with. When the weather gets colder, there aren’t as many people laying on the beach, but it is a great place to look for whales.

One of the most notable aspects of Mai Poina Beach Park is that it can get very windy. This makes it popular among people who love to fly kites or windsurf, but it also makes it easy for certain items to blow away. Also, because there are not any lifeguards, people need to pay attention to the local weather service to ensure there are no warnings issued.

The area is very easy to access. There are plenty of parking spots at the north end of the beach just off South Kihei Road. While there are people who like to camp on the beach from time to time, overnight parking is not allowed. Glass containers are also prohibited due to safety concerns. Open alcohol containers are not allowed on the beach either.

Finally, Mai Poina Beach Park is a popular location for those who love board sports. There are groups of people who meet up to go surfing, paddle boarding, and windsurfing. Even though there are no locations to rent any boards at Mai Poina Beach Park, there are lots of local shops to provide some of the top boards from the latest brands. This allows everyone to take advantage of the beautiful wind and water.
