Brekkie Bowls is a tiny food truck serving an organic, plant-based menu of açai bowls and smoothies made with dairy-free ingredients and no added sugar. Owner Hollie Petrus, an athlete, started Brekkie Bowls in 2016 to nourish Wailea, Maui, and the surrounding community with healthy food and smiles.
The meals are tasty and well-balanced, with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, protein, and healthy fats to keep you satiated. And they’re pretty to look at! Brekkie Bowl uses fresh, locally sourced ingredients for their bowls and smoothies.
Build your bowl or order a Superfood Bowl—both options start with a base of açai, dragon fruit, or half of each, including granola, toasted coconut, and agave. Choose from fruits, including bananas, blueberries, kiwi, strawberries, pineapple, and papaya (when available). Several add-ons, such as peanut butter, chia seeds, protein powder, and cacao nibs, are available as well.
If a smoothie is more your style, you can choose a nut or coconut milk as the base and choose from three varieties: I Feel Super, I Feel Blissed Out, and I Feel Lovely. Prices for bowls and smoothies start at $10. Please note that menu items and prices may change.
The company sponsors fitness fundraisers for charities such as Make a Wish Foundation and the Alzheimer’s Association. They also have an online shop that sells shirts, hats, eco-friendly dishware, and other items.
You can find the truck at the Wailea Village Farmers Market every Tuesday from 8 am to 11 am (or until sold out), but expect to wait in line because it’s a popular breakfast spot for the locals.
